Our every two year fishing trip to alaska at the Newhalen Lodge. Much better this year because i knew what to expect! Gary's beautifully colored rainbow trout. catch and release!

"Old Diver" came up 4 different times trying to get our salmon. Guides had to scare him off. Wish I could show all the pics. If i was lesley or renea i would know how to do that!

Gary and a salmon that is turning red and going to die soon . beautiful colors. salmon have a very short and interesting life. if anyone is interested i will post about it. look at the beautiful mountains behind gary.

Such a great trip. Had so much fun with Nikki and Bill Wilson who turned us to to this and the lodge. Great time. Hard trip but the closest i can get to survivor! ahahhaha

We just had the best trip to Kiawah Island, SC with some great friends of ours from here and the Dallas area. It's the prettiest place! and there is a beach...i'm all about the beach! The big trees and moss are so very different from Midland, Tx! Each year we go on a trip (must have golf spas, and shopping and wait... relaxation if none of the above!) Next year is the choice of Missy and Kenny..Special times

After fishing for shark we went to an area that had some little bars and the dolphin were everywhere! Here is my hubby, Gary. He has taken me on some amazing trips and I am so lucky to have him....of course, he is very lucky to have me too!

i havent blogged since Renea left town and moved to Cleburne. I'm picking it back up.. renea had a big one birthday (50)heeheehee.. she came to town and lesley and she and i had a slumber party!. we had fun. this was the very beginning of the night. les forgot a coverup and i loaned her my spectacular body shirt! renea of course was very prepared! hee hee

Having fun in the pool...notice les's hair is all wet.. she's been divin and renea is dry headed! go figure!!!!!!lol you know what im talkin about!

we tried to surprise her and act like we didnt know it was her b-day..yeah right! long story but the balloons are bigger than her...so somethin worked out! she was surprised with the little party les and i gave her!

I gave her a cutey little maxi - kinda collaged- with sexy splits up the side...reminded me of her cuz of the bright colors and collage effects! hope she will enjoy!!!!

Today was a bittersweet day for me. My best friends, Renea and Lesley and I had lunch together exchanging valentines. This was Renea's last day to live and work in Midland. We had so much fun! HospiceMidland had a little party for her this morning. I finally figured out that she didn't want to go around and tell everyone goodbye because she probably would break down and cry! I have been in denial until today and then it all hit me. We laughed, remembered, exchanged valentines and had a blast!!!!

I had a brainstorm on Wednesday after we had gone out to lunch (renea, les, lisa, ree (reneas mom). It took a while like at 4:30 in the afternoon but......i wanted to take a picture we had taken at lunch and make each of them a pillow for valentines and going away. well, you know Renea is the queen and Lesley is the Funky Art Queen! So i spent some time in the fabric store and worked fast and furiously but I did finish them. I made them pillows with our pictures on them. Reneas was made specifically for her and Lesleys was made specifically for her. You can see the jewels on their crowns. The round things above Renea's are typewriter keys that spell QUEEN because we all know that she is!!!! Lesley's has Funky Art Queen embossed on her body! actually her jacket. these were so much fun to make. i had a blast! and i hope they loved them. i think they did.

This is the back of lesley's. i love the little birds on both fabrics. this one makes me think of the counting crows song "birds on a wire". i'm gonna have to make some more of these. i had to copy renea's pockets because i had to do them so fast i couldn't come up with something else on my own! i will miss my friend's physical presence but we will still talk every day. post pictures, phone each other, blog so we can keep up with faces, e-mail, and then there is always going to visit,,,,,have i left anything out? love you girl. you will be great in Cleburne. lots of people to meet and you have no problem with that! remember if you don't want to work and still want to meet people you can VOLUNTEER! i just thought of that! love you and already miss ya.

My Anniversary

I had one of the most wonderful anniversaries to date! Gary and I celebrated our 4th anniversary yesterday. I arrived home from work and I had a bouquet of flowers, one rose and a variety of flowers. He told me we had reservations at Venezias - a great restaurant here with wonderful ambiance! We had a great bottle of wine and dressed up! Arrived at Venezias and there was a table prepared for us with a dozen red roses placed on the table. We had a wonderful meal, went home and another little glass of wine and ............................ tmi. He is such a romantic and it was the best ever! it was funny because i wrote on his card that he is the sweetist, kindest man i have ever known. and it is the truth! (my brother watch out) everyone have a very romantic ,.,,,,,, valentines day! lisa

I received an email from http://funkyfinds.us/ and they are putting together an art show in Fort Worth on April 25, 2009. Booths are reasonably priced and Pocket Full of Prettys, Funky Art Queen and me (MAJestic designs) signed up. I've gotta get really busy making wine bottles and jewelry! It will be mine and Pocket's 1st show! Lots to do between now and then but really looking forward to it. I can't wait to meet other vendors and see how our stuff does! Salute to President Bush

President Bush came home to Midland, Texas today following the inauguration ceremony in Washington. Approximately 30,000 people supported him as he returned to his hometown. Centennial square was blocked off and people were able to enter at 1:00, gates were locked at 4:00 and President Bush arrived at approximately 5:15. The Gatlin Brothers, Lee Greenwood and Rodney Atkins performed county western songs and songs about America along with other local performances from church choirs, showing of the colors from the Border Patrol, etc. It was a very moving ceremony for me.

The airport is approximately 20 minutes from downtown. The moderator told the crowd that President Bush wanted to fly over downtown to see the crowd from the air before arriving by ground. So, we were watching for him and I got this shot.

The arrival of President and Mrs. Bush! Red, white and blue W's were handed out to the crowd. Many of his lifetime friends, Governor Perry and his wife, and so many others had seats behind the stage. These were the great tickets!

This is the best picture I had of them. It was truly a grand event. He was very positive about the direction of our nation, Barrack Obama and he simply said, he did what' he thought was right. That's really all you can do.

There was alot of security - SWAT teams, policemen on horseback, 4 wheelers, on rooftops. We jaywalked and were reprimanded by a policeman and rightly so. Sometimes my husband thinks rules don't apply to him!

It truly is an historical day for America. OUR President has been chosen and as Americans I feel we need to get behind him and support him. OOOOOOh. You aren't suppose to discuss politics or religion - right?

Been away for so long

Oh Christmas is over and we have welcomed in the New Year! If only someone would come in the middle of the night and take down all the decorations! It has been a whirlwind December. Gary and I went to New York City for a week and had a great time! I about walked him silly the first day and we had to slow down a little after that. I have a funny feeling that next time I go, it will be with friends or family other than him! When I got home on the 13th I realized I had only one weekend to complete my shopping! I did get it all bought but failed to arrive at my mom and dads with all the presents. I left my brothers, one of Garys and part of my dads at home! Oh well. We had a great time. I have pictures of actual Christmas at mom and dads on my new camera and I can't get them to pull up on my computer. Imagine that! Maybe I will post later. My oldest daughter and her kids, Seathan and Hannah drove down from Austin to my house on Tuesday and spent the night. We had so much fun. They got in my bathtub and we turned on the jets and added way too much bubble bath. They were so cute! Then Christmas Eve afternoon we all drove to San Angelo for Christmas with my parents and everyone else! And as you know, with good friends you also experience all they go through - from a distance - Les and her family Christmas in Biloxi with Cody and Renea and the birth of her first grandaughter Kennedy! I made wine bottles today. There was only one left at the Wine Rack and I needed to restock them. I was very negligent in my jewelry and wine bottles this Christmas. So many other things going on that I just really didn't get to it. But I'm back now. If someone would take down my Christmas decorations I would have alot more time to do the fun stuff!

Late update on Thanksgiving

I haven't blogged in a while. My brother (Doug) put reminders on my phone to blog because he thinks it is too funny. He is 12 years younger than me but he did turn 40 last year and on Dec 8 he will be 41! hahaha. he does remind me though that I will always be older than him. Anyway, we went to my parents lakehouse in Brownwood, Tx for Thanksgiving. It was so great. All of my kids, son in laws and grandkids came. This is about the only time of year my dad and his brother's family get together. It is always very special. Ok about the picture. We were on the boat dock fishing and a big block of foam (probably part of a boat dock) blew in. Kanton my nephew (Doug's kid) and Alexis (Deborah my cousin's kid) fished it out between two docks and then got on it and used a stick for a paddle. Mind you it is 50 degrees outside and the water is much colder than that. But....they had fun and we had fun watching them.\

Hannah was in a mood for a while. Jessica was attempting to fix her hair and she wasn't diggin it as Lesley would say!

Katrina was so precious but not in such a great mood either. I think she was sick and Hannah was sick when she got home so they weren't at their best. Katrina had the cutest outfit and of course I say that because I bought it! She loves her food and is crawling and now pulling up. The day care sent Megan a note home today to send shoes with her because in her socks she slides when she pulls up to things. Walking soon. We had a great time. but i'm getting alerts on my phone now to pick a booger, go pee and whatever else he had in his mind! i have terrible allergies, i have to explain the pick a booger cuz i really don't do that do I Renea? hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving and will have a great Christmas. Can't wait for Renea's big homecoming with Corey and the birth of her new baby grandgirl. Going to NYC this Sunday for a week. I've been there 2 times before but never with my hubby. we are going to have sooooo much fun. i'm so excited. i love new york - it is so different from West Texas.

I went to San Angelo this weekend and visited my parents and Megan, KC and baby Katrina came for a visit from Austin also. We had so much fun. She is now crawling and is saying Mama. My sister Laurie, her friend Tammy, Megan, Katrina and I went shopping Saturday on Concho Street. Great old street with great shops. I bought some cool stuff at a bead store and a cowboy shirt! so cute. We had good food, good shopping and now, especially with the time change I need to rest!

This scary scary guy is Kyler, my nephew. He was very scary!

This is Kyler without the scary mask. He's such a sweet and cute kid. This is the 1st year his big brother, Kanton, 12 and in the 6th grade has not gone trick or treating with the family! Very different for them!

Saturday night we watched the Texas Tech and UT game. OMG! Was that a great game or what!!!!!! My husband graduated from Texas Tech and my daughter graduated from UT. I was for Texas Tech simply because they have not won near as many major games as UT. It was a nail biter! KC, Megan's husband and Katrina were all decked out in their UT clothes!

It was a great weekend and I was happy to see all of my family but there is never enough time! Doug, I hope you see Kyler on this and will appreciate my blog a little bit more!!!!! ha ha ah ha

Trip to Austin and Warrenton Semi Annual Flea Market

ok..now for the flea market. This is the biggest flea market in Texas. Carmine, Round Top, Warrenton and some other small town that I'm not sure of. OMGosh! fields of tents for miles. the most unbelievable thing I have ever seen. Bought lots of jewelry stuff! found objects and cool stuff. Renea has the pictures of Friday and I have some pictures from Saturday. We never met up on Saturday. Renea was with her daughter and I was with my youngest daughter Megan. She was in shock and only saw half of the show! so much good stuff! renea will post her pictures later this week at http://www.pocketfullofprettys.com/ This is Megan, Katrina and me! Katrina was so good. She never cries and slept and accepted compliments and everything! she loves her mother and her mother loves her!

Renea and I stopped by an old cemetery on the way home from the flea market. We discussed on the way down how we always want to stop and our hubbies won't or put it off until we come home and then all are tired and you agree with him. So...we just stopped on the way home. The majority of these tombstones are from the 1800 to early 1900's. The name of the cemetery is Union Band Cemetery. Very cool. Main family that seemed to be there was Holloway. Click on the pictures to see the fine print. My oldest daughter, Jessica, was in gymnastics from age 3 through high school. She used to do "foot routines" with her sister, Megan. Now she is doing them with her kids and OMGosh she has started little Katrina too. It is truly amazing! and she is very safe with them. This is her with Hannah

This is my grandson, Seathan, in his room. He has a really cool multilevel room. He loves loves loves fish and finally is old enough to have an aquarium in his room. They also have one in the den and one dog and two cats! Jessica is campaigning for a puppy!

It was a great trip. I will try to post some of my purchases this weekend. Renea and I had a blast. what is better than flea market, grandkids, kids, good food, cemeteries and a great big road trip!

New Jewelry

I was really busy and had so much fun this weekend. Friday night I worked and worked on getting things set up for the baby shower for Griffin Hipp, Renea's daughter in law. Renea called at 8:30 Saturday morning and WOKE ME UP THANK YOU!!!!! OMG.. i was expecting the other hostesses at 9:15! I got ready in record time and the shower went off beautifully. Renea has pictures on her website http://www.pocketfullofprettys.blogspot.com/. After the shower we went to the Peddler Show. I bought Hannah the cutest petticoat and shirt and me some gorgeous jewelry! Oh yeah, Renea spent 45 minutes looking for a shirt to match some camo shorts and then some girl picks up the shorts and buys them so the lady has to go to the trailer and get some of the same size, camo capris instead of the shorts. only ones that color (pink) and so eventually she ends up with shirt, capris and belt....but as Renea put it..i thought we were gonna have to have a thro down sho down! it was so funny! i just sat back and ate my frito pie! I also made some more jewelry. One copper, one turquoise and one silver. Only have pictures of the turquoise. Let me know what you think!

Kids and Pecan Street Festival 2008

This last weekend I drove to Austin to visit my kids and grandkids and son-in-laws! Saturday we went to the biannual Pecan Street Festival. Very different for me this year - because I'm making and selling stuff now! This festival is so great....vendors...bands...food...kid stuff...and drinks! We had sooooo much fun! Hannah's feet at the festival!Seathan's feet at the festival. but his went to his knees! but he did sit down and play bongos with a band....you will see later...

Mimi helping grandkids to do sand art with goofy feather tops and eyes! They loved it!

Seathan is very musically talented and we came upon this booth and the guys were playing music with these bongos and Seathan grabbed one off the sale rack, sat down and started playing with them. He was so cute! Not afraid. People were watching from 2 sides of the booth. A memory I will never forget! Love that kid!

My daughters, Jessica and Megan. Jessica's son Seathan eating ice cream, and Hannah won't even look up from hers! Then Megan and precious 7 month old Katrina! She was so good! and every 3 steps someone stopped to talk to her and said how pretty she was!

Before the festival we went to Seathan's tai kwon do (probably misspelled) test. They test frequently to move up. He did sooooo well. Can't tell you what color ...maybe blue? he loves this! So disciplined in this sport!

Hannh took pictures with my camera at the testing center. the stuffed animal is Panda and i bought it for her when she was at my house this summer at the end of July. There is soooo much difference between then and now! he has gone through some carting around and lovin! jessica says she is always with Panda. cannot separate them! i love to buy them things and they end up really loving them!

Such a great weekend

oh this weekend has been so great. spent time on Saturday with Les, her sister and mom. She loves them so much. you can tell both girls love their mama! i have girls and i hope they feel the same way about their mama. i think they do! gonna see them next weekend and the grandkids....can't wait! my oldest daughter had her 10 year reunion this weekend...she had lots of fun! my hubby's garden is huge! majorily producing cucumbers, tomatoes, okra, peppers, green beans and black eyed peas. Great summer for the new garden.

Look at this beautiful thunderstorm coming! i am SO fascinated with clouds. My best friend several years ago and i drove to midland for business. i commented on the clouds so many times while we were driving. they are just so gorgeous!

Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if you weren't a marketer going in and out of offices every day. Oh well, enough of that. We do need rain. Rainy days and nights

Oh do we need the rain! We had 1.9 inches yesterday and we live "in the desert". It is totally amazing how much difference a little rain makes. Everything is so green and beautiful. Gary's garden is hugeeeeeee! Plan to post pictures soon! (this is 1) We have a new turtle....can't find her but sure she is here somewhere. (this is picture 2) we have so many tomatoes that "Tiny" turtle will not even eat them if we give them to her. but she does love peaches...and of course we always want what we don't have! (promised picture 3 and 4).

I'm doing so many things...wine bottles (sold 9 at a local wine shop, 1 sold for a giveaway, 3 given away), apron (1 made, not listed, not sold - imagine that! picture 5), several pieces of jewelry (5 bracelets sold locally-original now on Etsy, 2 necklaces sold on Etsy), 6 baby burp pads (to be listed very very soon - picture 6-12) and funky hats for young and old (material and pattern purchased today but coming this weekend!- picture 13&14). ooo i owe lots of pictures!

My friend Lesley aka http://www.funkyartqueen.blogspot.com/ was digging around for geo cache treasures with her husband and found a diamond back rattle snake! she's ok but a little wobbly! especially after she fell over the wooden box she left in the middle of her kitchen floor last night and fell over. Really hurt her and i am so sorry she hurt but she would have felt worse if it was her daughter Heather or her husband Craig. Oh Craig,,,love the frog!!!! thanks.

i mourn the end of summer...it is my season - but we must go forward and here in West Texas there really isn't all that much change, but at any given time watch out!

Tuesdays Ten Tiny Things

Oh this was fun but a little stressful for me. You know how my pictures turn out. I bet I took 25 photos of this before I had a good one. Alright Lisa, no one likes a whiner! From left to right:

1. This is a tiny bottle of sand and shells that my youngest daughter, Megan, brought to me from a vacation she took with a friend and her family. The bottle is from Padre Island, Tx. She was always so sweet and thoughtful like that. She would spend all of her money on presents for other people and she always included her sister Jessica and me.

2. Hershey's Special Dark Chocolate miniature candy. Um...so good and of course good for you! It is my favorite chocolate.

3. A little case that was once filled with jelly beans from Las Vegas. It was in a basket full of goodies that welcomed us to the room. It's so cute I can't throw it away.

4. A little flower teapot that opens up to hold a very small treasure. Given to me by a friend some years ago.

5. THR3 smiley face button. Gary and I stumbled across a band here in Midland named THR3. A female singer that reminded me so much of Janice Joplin but with a better voice and very cool music and she was from LA. The other singer was from Big Spring Tx and he and she ended up getting married. We would go hear them every time they were here and bought several of their CDs. Out of the clear blue we received an e-mail that they had broken up. Moral of the story...if you are in a band - don't marry cause it screws up the music!

6. My great friend Lesley made a polymer clay doll "Lisa gone drinkin" and gave to me. "Lisa" was holding this teeny tiny little "Bitch" bottle. Les had found the wine on the net and printed off a tiny label and placed on the bottle. She is so resourceful!

7. Pokemon toy my grandson, Seathan, left at my house when he and his sister, Hannah, were visiting this summer. I keep them one week every summer and we swim and have so much fun. I look forward to it all year!

8. You guessed it. Hannah forgot, or should I say Mimi missed packing her little yellow hair bow.

9. I was standing in the grocery store line one day and they had these little mini books at the checkout. This one was called love letters and had little bitty envelopes inside with poems and pictures and stuff. I just had to have it!

10. Last but not least is the little doll. My grandmother made my two daughters a "Quiet Book". It was made of felt and fabric and had lots of snaps, ties, inserts, etc. The purpose was to keep small children quiet in church by occupying them with things to do. These books were very time consuming and difficult to make but she loved the girls and me and made them both one. The baby has a little cover made and a little pillow that are sewn to a page and you slip the baby in. The page title is "Put the baby to bed". I love and miss my Ma. She did lots of crafts and art. Maybe that's where I get my creative side!

I have to congratulate my friend Renea. She has had some suprises this week with hearts and showcases and more hearts! You deserve it - your artwork is awesome. Love the new Lucy. new wine bottles! les gave me this bohemian highway wine bottle and some charms she had that were bohemian. it was really beautiful. thanks les. I am selling these at a local wine shop and they are starting to sell really well. I even have a repeat repeat repeat customer with custom orders. Please know that I'm not bragging - just so happy to see someone enjoy these as much as I do!

I am also making some UT football bottles. Meeker Winery is making wine and the label is a longhorn and a Texas flag (that you can't see in my really bad pictures!) I use football and Texas related charms and they are great!

This such a lousy picture but it is one of the best bottles I've done. The name of the wine is Bitch and the label is pink and black. On the back label there are about 10-15 lines that just say bitch. If your husband brings one home to you, you might want to think about the message there! Anyway, i put some crystals on it with pink and black ribbon and yarn. Some pearls and more crystals and it looks awesome! I have so much fun making these.

I am making one with flamingos on the label and ordered some little bitty pink flamingo beads! Its gonna be cute. Hope everyone is doing well. Bone dead dog tired but soooo fulfilled

Last weekend we had our family reunion at Brownwood Lake. This was the 20th year that we have met there. Had lots of fun and good food. This year we had a talent show. When my girls were little we had talent shows at the family reunion and it went by the wayside for a few years. Seathan and Hannah came home with me and spent the week. We had a blast.

Oh my gosh i had soooo much fun with my grandchildren. Seathan is 7 and Hannah is 3. He is his dad and she is her mother! This is the only picture I took of Hannah that shows her face!

This is our pet turtle and Seathan found him this week. He the turtle was not as afraid of the kids as he was Gary and I. I really believe kids have that talent!!

This is another story. Gary and I were coming back from Naples, Fl and i forgot about liquids. They were going to take these bubble guns I bought for the kids because of the bubbles. He let me go with them but confiscated my Antropologie lotion, soap, suntan lotion, etc. I was so upset but I was wrong! oooooo thats even worse!

I have been really busy this July 4th weekend. Lesley inspired me with her jewelry. I made some this weekend. My sister-in-law is having a 40th b-day party next weekend. Happy Birthday Kim! I am going to wear one of my pieces. I really like it - of course - it is not sweet - but rather gaudy! Showed Renea today and now she is inspired and is making something tonight. I think we all have totally different styles and can't wait to see Renea's creations. I will post photos this week. So much fun. Also, finished a darling little apron. Thanks to my friends. I had a great day today. I came home from work and had a message. I had posted some wine bottle lamps on Flickr last night and a guy who is an administrator for a site that has many different areas had e-mailed me and asked if he could post my LOL bottle on a site called One Bottle http://www.flickr.com/groups/onebottle/. I checked it out and it is a site where there are tons of pictures that have only one bottle shown. I was so excited! I love this stuff! It's like getting a present every day. We're harvesting our garden daily now with tomatoes and peppers. One eggplant that is pretty rough looking but it is the first one. We have harvested all of our onions and had a really great crop. Now going to make that little area with grass - i'm so excited ! i miss green grass from san angelo and my previous yard made of grass - not concrete! did ya'll hear about the tomatoes with salmonella. it was on the news today. don't eat any tomatoes from the stores without the vine attached. tomatoes are such a great summer eat! glad we're growing our own! how do tomatoes carry salmonella? water? oh yeah, i ran over my cell phone today with my car. couldn't find it and left the site and felt a little bump. made a cul de sac turn and saw it in the street. it still works.....some tough phone! oh yow! it is Wednesday! looking forward to the weekend. love the summer Lisa

Naples Florida

I just returned from a great trip to Naples, Florida. Good friends, good food, good shopping, good wine, good beaches, etc. etc. The first night we went to eat and had some wine, of course. The second day the guys played golf and the girls went to the pool and the beach. That night we went on a little cruise and saw some gorgeous homes and met some nice people from Chicago. Next day the girls rented a 35 foot catamaran for the four of us and Captain Kelly Callahan. Such a nich host. His name is Cool Beans Cruises - he comes with high recommendations! Of course, we have no water in Midland. Went to shell island and picked up a bunch of shells - and oh did they stink after a couple of days in the room. i did get home with them though and am going, of course, to create something! Out to eat again and a little dancing. Next day shopping! Came across this little shop on 5th street called Dennison-Moran Gallery. They had the most adorable wire sculptures of fish, etc. on stands for the garden, etc. So many other great things too. One of my friends bought the polymer (I think) salt and pepper shakers. They have things from about 150 artists. Loved the magnetic boards, salt and pepper shakers, wind chimes and so much more. www.dennisonmorangallery.com - visit and let me know what you think! i always need one more day! came home on sunday and its always good to get back but......the beach and water are wonderful! I have finally totally completed a bottle to list on my etsy store. I have a handmade tag for each bottle. This wine bottle is "Honig" and is a cabernet sauvignon from Napa Valley. I would love to have everyone's feedback on the quality of the pictures, the bottles and all before I list it. Please be honest and let me know what you think. I am going to sell this one for $45.00 plus shipping and handling. Thanks so much for your feedback! I also want to thank my great friend Les, Funky Art Queen, for being my first customer and purchasing my Lucky 7 bottle for a door prize at a senior celebration. The theme is Las Vegas style so the bottle is perfect! The lights have an end connector and several bottles grouped together look really pretty. Background may be too dark. What do you think???? Best Time of the Year

I have added pictures of my backyard. There is nothing better than sitting on the patio and watching these plants grow. I do nothing and my hubby does it all! Except for picking up after him when he trims the hedges, fertilizes the plants, moves the plants in and out two times a year - in other words, I get the grunt work and he takes the glory! He really has a green thumb and we have some beautiful plants. He purchased some cool new solar lights this year. They are a crackled glass ball and change colors all night! Beautiful. Tomorrow is Friday!!!!! I'm going to San Angelo to see my mom and dad, sister and her boyfriend, brother and his wife and two boys, and Megan and Kevin and my beautiful new baby Katrina! Other kids are staying in Austin because Scott is graduating with his bachelors! He is a team manager at Whole Foods. Took at while but he did it and I am very proud of him! Oh by the way, my friend the Puerto Rican social worker said "she won't tell me anything else". Oh well, I have plenty of material with other friends! You know who you are. Life is fun! I have been taking pictures of wine bottles tonight. Have 3 ready. Will be making tags tomorrow. I'm enjoying this so much. Made a new bottle last night but don't have pictures. Need a great place to do the pictures. Think I have one -wrote myself a note to remember my thoughts! Showed Gary my blogspot tonight. I wasn't sure of his reaction. He really didn't understand the last sentence (Les!) but he was ok with the story I wrote about him. I am posting pictures of my newest grandaughter Katrina. So so so cute. Ok. So my daughter and my best friend(s) told me this first blog was so boring that I needed to have a glass of wine first! I did. I have to tell you so many funny things happen every day! Renea and I work together and we visited one of our Puerto Rican social worker friends. She is a trip to say the very very least. She is going to photograph ghosts in an old locked up uninhabitated building in Big Spring Texas. There is a basement within a basement! Rats, snakes, bats etc. Crazy! Then she tells us that when she is 4 yrs old, (she has very thick hair) that a bat from the sugar cane plantation flew in her hair and got tangled up. Her mother had to cut her hair to the scalp to get the bat out! Crazy! I love my life and my friends. Next story: My husband is a CPA by profession - so what does that tell you? we had a 2nd squirrel get in our house through the chimney. He broke crystal, pooped and shredded part of our off-white love seat and many other things. My husband could not find the squirrel so he put nuts in each room and shut the door to find the squirrel. Ends up the squirrel is in the fireplace. I can't tell you what happened next for fear of being arrested for animal abuse! So he has a life long mission to kill all squirrels entering our fence. He posted this sign along with corncobs as bait. The pellet gun is inside the back door. He thinks it's so funny because I think squirrels can read. Well this picture confirms that! The squirrel defecated on his sign! Told him. Until later.......Lisa....ok all was this one better! if you say no - don't even think about it!
